THE DOCUMENTATION CENTER

The Drancy Memorial documentation center specializes in the history of Drancy and other internment camps. Researchers, schoolchildren, professionals and families may freely consult the books and magazines on site. They can also search the Shoah Memorial’s collections as well as view video testimonials, documentaries and digitized archives about the camp’s history on 16 computer terminals.

TRAINING

Teacher training courses take place year round based on the same model as those in Paris (cycle 3, secondary schools, foreign teachers, police officers and chiefs, etc.).

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Temporary exhibitions and cultural events, film screenings, readings and panel discussions are regularly organized during the European Heritage Days and festivals. They usually take place in the Drancy Memorial’s auditorium.

The Drancy Memorial has audioguides in French and English that provide access to thematic films screened in the permanent exhibition as well as testimonies and songs written in the camp. They are available free of charge in exchange for ID.

All the exhibition texts are translated into English.
