For the Hors Limites <\/strong><\/em>litterary festival<\/strong>, The Shoah Memorial in Drancy is organising a talk with France-based Rwandan writer Beata Umubyeyi Mairesse<\/strong>, on Sunday 29 March at 4pm.<\/p>\n

Beata Umubyeyi Mairesse<\/strong> was born in Butare, Rwanda<\/strong>, in 1979. She arrived in France <\/strong>in 1994, after surviving the Tutsi genocide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Tous tes enfants dispers\u00e9s<\/em>, her first novel, is the story of Blanche, a <\/strong>survivor of the Tutsi genocide<\/strong> who lives in Bordeaux. She has built a life in France with her husband and son, but after years of exile, when she goes home to visit her mother Immaculata, painful memories resurface.<\/p>\n

Every Sunday at 3pm, the Memorial in Drancy offers a free guided visit.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

A free bus shuttle leaves Paris at 2pm and brings back visitors at 5pm on Sundays, 5.45pm on Sundays when there are Rendez-Vous de Drancy events.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
